5 Best Adults-Only Hotels and Riads in Marrakech

Updated: 18 hours ago

Whether you’re parents enjoying a kid-free break, a solo traveller seeking serenity or best friends escaping on an annual adventure, there’s a definite appeal to adults-only hotels. I think Marrakech is an incredible destination for families and watching children interact with the local people and culture offers a fresh perspective. But there are also times when I crave being able to relax quietly beside the swimming pool, without the squeals and squawks of children splashing around. And that’s where Marrakech’s adults-only hotels and riads come in!

While the “Red City” doesn’t have a lot of adults-only hotels and riads, the ones that it does have are REALLY good. There are options for those seeking an all-inclusive experience (including meals, activities and entertainment), as well as gorgeous riads offering more of a boutique stay. Additionally, you’ll find LOTS of riads in Marrakech that are usually kid-free by default as the rooms are all queen or king-bed suites.

In this article, I’ll highlight 5 of the best adults-only hotels and riads in Marrakech, all of which have a no-children policy.

On the flip side, if you are travelling with kids, there are some wonderful family-friendly hotel choices here.

It features two swimming pools, a spa and a variety of sports activities, such as yoga, volleyball and padel. There’s no chance of getting bored here! TUI BLUE Medina Gardens also hosts live music nights and cultural experiences such as cooking classes.

When you’re not out exploring the architectural landmarks, museums and souks of the Marrakech medina (all of which are just a short stroll away), you can dine on delicious Moroccan and Mediterranean dishes at one of the four restaurants. Along with buffet meals and themed evenings, there’s also an a la carte dining option and a rooftop bar. Definitely one of the best all-inclusive hotels for adults in Marrakech!

Best adults-only Marrakech riad in the medina

For over a decade, owners Laurence and Alain have poured their hearts into creating this adults-only Marrakech riad, which is a haven for travellers seeking a kid-free experience. It’s located in the enchanting Kasbah quarter, which is rapidly becoming one of the most sought-after areas to stay in Marrakech. The building has been meticulously restored to embody the essence of Arab-Andalusian architecture and there’s a harmonious ambiance that envelops you from the moment you step inside.

As is traditional with Moroccan riads, the property centres around an open-air courtyard, complete with a plunge pool. Each of the seven individually decorated rooms is a masterpiece of Moroccan craftsmanship, plus there's air-conditioning - a modern perk for Marrakech's scorching summer heat. Aside from the sun-drenched rooftop terrace (which offers incredible views across the city), there are plenty of cosy nooks where you can curl up with a good book. The traditional hammam is an added bonus!
