In April, Agadir basks in the warmth of the Moroccan spring, with warm temperatures, abundant sunshine and minimal rainfall. During the daytime, the mercury typically hovers from the low to mid-20s Celsius (mid to upper 70s Fahrenheit), providing comfortable conditions for outdoor activities and sightseeing. Evenings bring a slight drop in temperature, with lows around 15°C (59°F), so bring something warm for evening strolls along the beachfront promenade and dining alfresco.
The water temperature in April hovers around 19°C (66°F), which may feel brisk but is also really refreshing for ocean dips. If you prefer things a little warmer, plan your visit for the end of the month when the Atlantic may be more appealing for swimming.

Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles du Maroc
While it’s not taking place in Agadir itself, this female-only car rally will be held across southern Morocco from 11 to 26 April 2025. Competitors must navigate a series of off-road routes (primarily across the Sahara Desert) using only traditional navigation techniques (no electronic devices allowed!). In 2025, the rally will conclude in Essaouira (around three hours’ drive north of Agadir), culminating with an official arrival on the beach, an awards ceremony and a closing party on April 26. The long, wide stretch of sand at Plage d’Agadir is perfect for relaxing strolls, sunbathing and people-watching, as well as being a great place to learn to surf. Serious surfers should head up the coast to Taghazout, where you’ll find world-class breaks for all levels.
For a taste of local culture and history, head to the hilltop ruins of the old Kasbah, which offer panoramic views over the city and coast. You can reach the 16th-century fortress via a winding road or by riding the Agadir cable car. Other cultural highlights include the Amazigh Heritage Museum, which showcases the rich traditions of North Africa’s indigenous peoples, and the Memoire d'Agadir, a moving museum dedicated to the devastating 1960 earthquake that destroyed much of the city. For a glimpse of traditional Moroccan life, be sure to explore the narrow lanes and colourful stalls of Souk El Had, which is also a great place to grab lunch!
