10 of the Best Places to Stay in Asilah

Updated: Oct 29

Centred around a whitewashed medina, Asilah is an atmospheric coastal town and one of my favourite places to stay in northern Morocco. It’s brimming with incredible street art and inspiring accommodation, making it the perfect place for a slow stay or long weekend escape.

In Asilah, you’ll find a treasure trove of charming apartments and traditional Moroccan houses (known as dars) where you can enjoy an overnight stay en route between Rabat and Tangier or a multi-day sojourn. Stay in the heart of the medina and you’ll find sun-drenched terraces offering stunning views across the Atlantic Ocean and a mosaic of rooftops and minarets. Venture just outside the town to discover a handful of high-end boutique hotels, luxury homes and rural retreats where you can enjoy a quieter experience.

In this article, discover 9 of the best places to stay in Asilah, including budget-friendly apartments, mid-range riads and luxury retreats
