5 Best Luxury Hotels in Marrakech with a Pool
Looking for the best luxury hotels in Marrakech with a pool? Explore this curated collection of riads, resorts and boutique stays. All boast a swimming pool for cooling off in Morocco’s “Red City”.
Framed by the Atlas Mountains, Marrakech is deservedly one of Morocco’s top tourist destinations. But it can also become a sweltering cauldron during the summer months.
I still remember the first time I touched down in Marrakech in the middle of August and I could hardly leave my air-conditioned room.
Temperatures can soar well above 45 degrees Celsius (over 113 Fahrenheit) on the hottest summer days.
In response, finding a hotel or riad with a swimming pool has since become one of my top priorities when visiting Marrakech during this time.
Luckily, Marrakech is home to a wealth of stunning hotels (with equally stunning pools) that offer the perfect antidote to the oppressive heat. Many are at the luxurious end of the spectrum.
From rooftops with infinity-edge pools to hidden garden oases tucked away from the crowded medina, these aquatic sanctuaries provide a cool escape where you can retreat during the heat of the day.
While some are only accessible to guests, others can be enjoyed by purchasing a pool day pass.
In this article, I’ll share with you 5 of the best luxury hotels with pools in Marrakech, all of which are Instagrammable gems. In my opinion, they’re worth the splurge if you’re planning a high-end summer stay in the “Red City”.

Royal Mansour Marrakech
Best ultra-luxurious hotel in Marrakech with a pool
In Arabic-Andalusian tradition, gardens are carefully designed spaces that embody a deep spirituality and sense of tranquility. The Royal Mansour Marrakech’s Le Jardin exemplifies these qualities, unfolding as an enchanting haven in the heart of the “Red City”.
Honestly, I can’t think of anywhere I’d rather be on a hot summer’s day!
Designed by renowned landscape architect Luis Vallejo, Le Jardin is a harmonious extension of Marrakech’s historic gardens. At its centrepiece lies a sprawling pool that seamlessly blends with the surrounding landscape.
The result is an idyllic setting to while away sultry Moroccan days in unadulterated bliss.
The hypnotic sound of flowing water from the canals and fountains provides a meditative backdrop for blissing out on one of the pool’s sun loungers.
Even if you’re not staying at the Royal Mansour Marrakech, you can experience Le Jardin with a pool day pass or book an exclusive poolside pavilion.

72 Riad
Best rooftop pool in Marrakech
While it’s by no means the biggest swimming pool in Marrakech, the rooftop retreat at this boutique riad is definitely one of the city’s best. In my opinion, it’s an ideal spot to listen to the call to prayer ring out at sunset.
Tucked away in a quiet corner of the medina, 72 Riad occupies a former 1920s palace once linked to Pasha El Glaoui and is a masterful marriage of old and new.
It stands as a testament to Marrakech’s cultural heritage under the creative vision of its Italian owner. Ornate tilework adorns the walls and floors while arabesque patterns grace the ceilings.
Secluded courtyards filled with plants and trickling fountains provide a peaceful escape, with the sound of running water adding to the overall feeling of serenity.
“Great location. Nice mix of traditional riad feel with modern flair. Hammam spa is a real added bonus too.” – Olivia (read more reviews here)

Les Deux Tours
Best boutique hotel swimming pool in Marrakech
Nestled within a palmeraie on the edge of the medina lies one of Marrakech’s best boutique hotels, Les Deux Tours. Scattered throughout the hotel’s three-hectare park are a collection of beautifully appointed suites, surrounded by labyrinthine Andalusian gardens.
A highlight of Les Deux Tours’ stunning pool is its mini grotto. You can swim right into its cool, shimmering waters and escape the desert heat.
After a refreshing dip, while away the day in the soothing shade of the olive trees that dot the grounds. Then, you can return to the pool for another swim and an alfresco lunch on the terrace.
“It was an oasis and I absolutely loved the design.” – Joycelyn (read more reviews here)

Mandarin Oriental
Best luxury hotel pool in Marrakech
Set amidst 20 hectares of olive groves and impeccably manicured gardens, the Mandarin Oriental boasts incredible views of the Atlas Mountains. This sophisticated Marrakech resort is the epitome of luxury.
It’s the perfect oasis to recharge and rejuvenate, just 10 minutes’ drive from the medina.
At the heart of the Mandarin Oriental lies one of the most expansive pools in Marrakech, surrounded by lounge chairs that invite you to soak up the Moroccan sun in absolute comfort.
For those seeking exclusivity, the resort also offers an array of private pool villas, complete with lavish amenities.
Pool Garden day passes are available for non-guests and include an incredible three-course lunch.
For a luxury stay in the Marrakech Palmeraie, I think this is one of the best summer choices!

Fairmont Royal Palm
Best poolside lunch in Marrakech
Located beside one of Marrakech’s most famous golf courses, the Fairmont Royal Palm offers an exceptional poolside experience that can be enjoyed by non-guests with a day pass. Sprawling alongside its opulent suites and villas is a 2,000-square-metre pool, which is surrounded by palm trees and daybeds.
Backed by the majestic Atlas Mountains, you can while away your days sipping cocktails and indulging in a delicious lunch from the resort’s acclaimed culinary team. The menu features everything from fresh ceviche and hearty salads to the signature salt-crusted sea bream.
In my opinion, the Fairmont Royal Palm is the perfect setting to savour the taste of Morocco. All while indulging at one of Marrakech’s most luxurious hotel pools.

BONUS – Inara Camp
If you want to spend a day by the pool with incredible desert views, then consider heading south to Inara Camp. It’s located in the spectacular Agafay region (just 45 minutes’ drive from Marrakech) and offers luxurious desert stays in its high-end “glamping” tents.
Everything from camel rides to quad-biking and desert photography shoots are on offer. Alternatively, you can take a “safari” trip into the Atlas Mountains.
For sun-seekers, there are two pools to choose from – the Desert Lagoon and the Grand Pool. Both can be enjoyed on overnight adventures or day trips from Marrakech. While the Desert Lagoon is a bio-design model and offers breathtaking views across a canyon, the Grand Pool is heated (for those who like a warm swim).
Day trips from Marrakech to Inara Camp include a three-course lunch at Le Soukoune Restaurant. What better way to spend a summer’s day!

Tips for finding the best luxury hotels in Marrakech with a pool
When searching for the ideal hotel pool to cool off in while visiting Marrakech, there are a few things to keep in mind. First of these is the level of luxury.
In Marrakech, a high-end stay can range from “luxury” to “ultra luxurious” with a hefty price tag to match. Keep in mind that at the top end of the range, the nightly rates are four figures.
Second, consider the location. Many of the best luxury hotels in Marrakech with a pool are found in the heart of the medina. Others are located in the palmeraie on the outskirts of the city.
Generally speaking, the palmeraie hotels and resorts are much larger, allowing them to have multiple pools, alongside indoor wellness facilities. Properties in the medina are usually more restricted when it comes to space and often have smaller pools, either on the rooftop or inside their courtyards.
Top tip:
Before booking a Marrakech hotel with a pool, be sure to read reviews from previous guests and look at photos of the pool to get a sense of its size and surroundings. Some are nestled within lush gardens and are fringed by sun loungers while others are beautifully tiled and with swim-up pool bars.
Don’t forget to enquire about pool hours and accessibility, as some hotel pools have restrictions or are only open seasonally.
If you’re looking for the ultimate in luxury, you can’t go past the Royal Mansour Marrakech. It boasts a stunning pool surrounded by gorgeous Moroccan architecture. This is definitely one of the best luxury hotels in Marrakech with a pool!
The Mandarin Oriental is another top pick for a high-end stay, with outdoor and indoor pools. Plus, there are private plunge pools at its exclusive villas.
For medina views while you swim, the rooftop pool at 72 Riad can’t be beat – it really is sublime! If a more intimate, secluded pool is your preference, check out Les Deux Tours. This boutique property features a lovely pool nestled amidst fruit trees and olive groves.
For a poolside dining experience, head to the Fairmont Royal Palm. Here you can enjoy a delicious lunch or a cocktail with views of the Atlas Mountains.
